Remote Principal Microsoft Security Engineer Consultant

Remote Principal Microsoft Security Engineer Consultant 10-15 Hours/Month

Our client, a US-based cybersecurity professional services company, is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to support a professional services team. This is a contract role, open to qualified LATAM-based candidates who can operate remotely and collaborate with the client's U.S. consulting teams. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and language screening as they would be interfacing with the customer directly.

Overview

We’re looking for a senior-level engineer experienced in Microsoft security technologies and capable of leading and executing Professional Services. This role would be designing, configuring, and deploying enterprise-grade security systems and tools. The ideal candidate can also support Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) engagements as needed during active security events.

Key Requirements

  • 8+ Years in Security Architecture / Engineering, Security Operations, and Incident Response.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Defender for Cloud, Azure, and Entra ID.
  • Proven ability to configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft security solutions.
  • Ability to perform Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) during security events.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills with a proactive attitude to continue identifying more service opportunities within a customer account.
  • English language fluence -- spoken and written

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert – Top priority
  • GCFA or GCIH – Highly preferred
  • CISSP, CEH, or OSCP – Nice to have
  • Type: Hourly Independent Contractor 10 to 15 hours per month
  • Clearance: Not required, but a background check is expected
  • We are interested in candidates with strong Microsoft security backgrounds and incident response experience.
