Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong verbal communication.
• Medical language proficiency assessment completed.
• Knowledge of professional ethics and standards (IMIA, NBCMI, NCIHC).
• HIPAA compliant work environment/setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective over-the-phone interpreting service for consumers.
• Maintain professional conduct during calls.
• Adapt quickly to new and changing technologies.
• Adhere to interpreter ethics and procedural requirements specific to medical interpreting.
• Respect LEP clients’ culture, dialect and beliefs in medical procedures.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and interpreting aptitude.
