Job summary

HireLatam is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of custom lab reactor systems and support frames. You will create manufacturable CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and supplier packages, working with contract manufacturers from US-based projects.

This remote, full-time role is based in Mexico with US business hours. Expect paid trial project, 3,500 USD monthly salary, and potential in-person growth opportunities; strong SolidWorks or Fusion 360 skills and PTFE materials

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong 3D CAD modeling experience in SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Proven ability to produce manufacturable 2D drawings with GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Transform concepts into manufacturable 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Create customer approval drawings and supplier-ready packages (STEP, BOMs).
• Develop reusable CAD libraries and interface with contract manufacturers.
• Audit and reverse-engineer existing equipment to improve designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to verify tolerances and quality.
