Kyndryl Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking an experienced Mainframe specialist to support and develop COBOL-based applications for the GNP Seguros client.

You will work within a Staff Augmentation model, handling incidents, maintaining batch processes via JCL, and ensuring system stability. The role requires COBOL, JCL, DB2/SQL, and CICS expertise, with basic English reading. Remote work is primary, with occasional onsite visits as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with +3 years COBOL Mainframe experience.
• Experience in production support for critical systems.
• Basic English reading of technical materials.

Responsabilidades

• Act as an active member of the GNP technical team under a Staff Augmentation model; align with client processes, tools, and standards.
• Provide technical support for Mainframe-based applications; handle incidents and service requests.
• Develop and maintain COBOL programs; create/update batch processes using JCL; implement enhancements.
• Analyze failures in batch and online processes (CICS); perform transaction tracing and log analysis; ensure data integrity in DB2.
• Collaborate with technical, functional, and business teams; escalate critical issues; participate in regular follow-ups.
• Document developments, incidents, and solutions; keep documentation up to date; ensure IT governance compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process and performance improvements; propose stability and efficiency enhancements.
