BairesDev is hiring a COBOL Programmer to maintain and modernize critical IBM mainframe applications. You will work on batch and online processing, ensuring stability and evolution of core systems in banking/government sectors.

Formación

4+ years in software engineering or mainframe development.
Proven COBOL maintenance on IBM mainframes.
Strong English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance COBOL applications for batch and online processing.
Manage and optimize mainframe components including CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
Analyze complex legacy codebases to identify modernization and optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and updates.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot defects to ensure reliability of mission-critical systems.
Document system changes and workflows to preserve knowledge and support long-term maintainability.
