Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Intern to support the Compliance Team. You will translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance, perform second-line oversight, and produce governance-ready documentation and reporting.

Role focuses on consumer finance, payments compliance, and collaboration across the organization to maintain integrity and adherence to standards. Remote-friendly internship with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for consumer financial products.
• Experience in compliance operations, risk management, or related oversight activities.
• Strong written communication and ability to document evidence packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advisory support to business partners on consumer finance and payments requirements; document guidance, decisions, and follow-ups.
• Maintain issue/action logs, validate remediation plans and evidence, and monitor aging to closure.
• Perform second-line oversight reviews of complaint handling for higher-risk channels.
• Assist with product development compliance assessments and third-party oversight activities.
• Prepare memos and governance-ready summaries for leadership and partner reporting.
• Gather information for regulatory reviews, examinations, or audits.
