Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to provide second-line oversight and advisory support across consumer finance and payments. You translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance, execute reviews, and produce governance-ready documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to consumer financial products and services.
• Experience in compliance operations/advisory, risk management, quality assurance, or other control/oversight activities.
• Strong documentation, memo writing, and evidence packaging skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advisory support to business partners on consumer finance requirements; document guidance and decisions.
• Support intake, tracking, and completion of Compliance Ops, Advisory, and Financial Crimes work using defined workflows.
• Perform second-line oversight reviews of complaint handling and contribute to trend analysis.
• Maintain issue logs, validate remediation plans, and monitor aging to closure.
• Assist with change management oversight and ensure control readiness across initiatives.
• Conduct pre-use compliance reviews of marketing and customer communications; document disclosures and risks.
• Support product development compliance assessments for new products and initiatives.
• Assist third-party compliance activities for customer-facing vendors.
• Support Financial Crimes Compliance operations including BSA/AML monitoring and case review.
• Assist with sanctions/OFAC screening and watchlist management.
• Support CIP and CDD/EDD activities, including identity-verification remediation and testing.
• Prepare SAR narratives and supporting evidence; coordinate with investigators as needed.
• Advise on financial crimes requirements and documentation for leadership reporting.
• Support regulatory responses and information requests, including inquiries.
