Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design site development, utilities, roads, and grading for residential subdivisions, and coordinate approvals with agencies from a home office.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 5+ years in residential land development, strong CAD skills, and proven ability to collaborate with remote teams and regulators to deliver compliant, cost-effective infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience focused on residential land development and infrastructure design.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and design tools for utilities and grading.
• Strong understanding of stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulics.
• Experience with permitting processes and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to manage projects independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating with remote teams using collaboration software.

Responsibilities

• Design site development plans including grading, drainage, and erosion control for residential projects.
• Plan and design water, sewer, and stormwater systems for new subdivisions.
• Coordinate with municipal agencies for permits and approvals.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure components.
• Collaborate remotely with land surveyors, architects, and planners to ensure integrated design.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
• Monitor construction progress remotely and respond to field inquiries.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist in bidding processes.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate status to stakeholders.
