Placements24 is seeking an innovative and experienced Chemical Engineer to lead the design of sustainable processes in a fully remote role. You will develop environmentally friendly and resource-efficient chemical processes, focusing on green chemistry and circular economy.

You will collaborate with a global team to evaluate new technologies, optimize processes for reduced environmental impact, and perform life cycle assessments while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering with sustainability focus.
• 5+ years in chemical process design and development with sustainable practices.
• Strong knowledge of life cycle assessment methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with green chemistry principles in design.
• Proficiency with Aspen Plus and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design sustainable chemical processes with focus on resource efficiency and reduced footprint.
• Evaluate and implement green chemistry and circular economy concepts in design.
• Conduct life cycle assessments to quantify environmental impact.
• Optimize existing processes to minimize waste, energy use, and emissions.
• Research emerging sustainable technologies relevant to the chemical industry.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations to integrate solutions.
• Develop process models and simulations to predict performance and benefits.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers on sustainable chemical engineering principles.
