Placements24 is seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join a remote team focused on catalytic reactor design and optimization. You will conceptually and practically model reactors, assess kinetics and heat/mass transfer, and work with simulation tools to deliver safe, economical solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in reactor design, strong kinetics/thermodynamics knowledge, and proficiency with Aspen Plus or CHEMCAD. Collaboration with R&D and remote communication in English are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 4+ years in chemical process design with focus on reactor design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of kinetics, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena.
• Experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD, COMSOL).
• CFD modeling experience is a plus.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and model catalytic reactors (fixed-bed, fluidized-bed, CSTRs) considering kinetics and mass/heat transfer.
• Run process simulations and analyze reactor performance with Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD, or similar.

Requirements

• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD, COMSOL, or similar).
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling is a plus.
• Knowledge of various catalyst types and reactor operating principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
