Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist in Green Chemistry and Sustainability to lead impactful, remote research projects aimed at environmentally friendly chemical processes and materials.

You will spearhead work on sustainable synthesis, waste reduction, and renewable resources while collaborating with a global network of experts dedicated to a sustainable future.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with specialization in green chemistry or sustainable processes.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant research experience focusing on sustainable chemistry, catalysis, or materials science.
• Proven track record leading research projects and achieving milestones in sustainability.
• Extensive knowledge of green chemistry principles, lifecycle assessment, and environmental impact analysis.
• Experience with catalyst design, organic synthesis, and process optimization.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy sources and their integration into chemical processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D initiatives in green chemistry, focusing on sustainable synthesis routes and eco-friendly materials.
• Design experiments to evaluate environmental impact and efficiency of chemical processes.
• Develop novel catalytic systems and methods that reduce waste and energy use.
• Explore renewable feedstocks and bio-based materials in chemical manufacturing.
