Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers for a remote, hourly contract to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You’ll train AI systems to think like developers by writing, reviewing, and providing expert feedback on code across Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, or TypeScript.

This role is fully remote with flexible hours. You’ll work independently, design prompts, identify bugs and performance bottlenecks, and rank AI solutions for quality and correctness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE or related field.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to read, write, and reason about code with clarity and precision.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or not.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously—fully on your own schedule.
