Role purpose
Regulatory Management deals with regulators and regulatory developments affecting the Bank, particularly related to Compliance risks, including but not limited to:
- Regulatory Engagement: Delivering proactive and consistent management and oversight of regulator relationships globally, regionally, and nationally.
- Regulatory Development: Identifying and overseeing upcoming and ongoing material regulatory compliance developments, supporting the Group in addressing regulatory change.
Main activities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding regulatory engagement supported by Compliance, ensuring oversight of all relevant interactions with regulators at regional and national levels. The manager of Regulatory Affairs supports meetings, visits, reviews, thematic work, investigations, enforcement activities, reporting, information requests, correspondence, and ad hoc tasks.
- Provide updates on the outcomes of regulatory engagements.
- Support the delivery of strategic projects within Regulatory Affairs.
- Contribute to maintaining and formalizing the Compliance portfolio of regulatory development and change themes, ensuring effective hand-offs to the Risk Stewards within Compliance for second Line of Defense oversight of regulatory change implementation.
- Engage with and support consultation responses, lobbying efforts, industry discussions, and related activities concerning material regulatory developments, collaborating with internal stakeholders and representatives in the Mexican Banking Association.
- Follow up and support the implementation of regulatory changes.
