At Omron Mexico, we are searching for our next Regional Sales Manager.
Our Regional Sales Manager lead and coordinate operations in the territory, developing effective business strategies, managing a team, and ensuring the achievement of sales and growth objectives in the region, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Establish a business plan to overachieve the Sales and Profit Budget
- Continuously review progress and adjust the plan as needed.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
- Identify key business growth opportunities (industry, customer, solution etc) and develop/execute a plan to capture these opportunities. Assign resources accordingly.
- Create and execute Channel to Market vision for Region of responsibility. Maintain key relationships with selected Distribution partners and collaborates with OAA Channel sales team to attain Regions budget
- Continually develop knowledge of the business environment, applications and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts.
- Work with internal departments such as the Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Technology and other to engage key initiatives to create a stronger Solution to customers
- Recruit, develop and retain high performing Sales staff consisting of District Sales Managers and Account Managers. Evaluate strengths and development needs for the team and provide learning opportunities that enable employees to realize their potential.
- Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition
- Create a culture that inspires creativity and generates value to existing and potential customers
- Continuously raise performance expectations of the team to achieve short and long term success.
- Motivate and support team to achieve goals while upholding organizational values and standards.
- Determine and support key metrics used to predict success.
- Promote a work environment that encourages employees to act with integrity and treat each other and their ideas with respect.
- Advocate new sales approaches or strategies to the organization that helps the team achieve its goals. Encourage the team to share ideas to maximize the benefits across the Americas
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Experience And Certifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, Sales or similar field required or sufficient experience that contributes to the role. MBA, preferred.
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated application solutions sales experience with OEM and End User customers with 5 years of sales management.
Technical Abilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability and success managing P&Ls in a high technology Automation business.
- Ability to analyze business performance and market conditions and adapt accordingly.
- Technical aptitude with manufacturing process and automation technology.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is often required to talk, hear at normal speaking levels, sit and use their hands and fingers to type, handle or feel, including repetitive motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.
Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing and walking. Traveling to visit customers may require continued walking, up to a mile in distance at a time.
Environmental Factors: The job is performed both indoors in a traditional office setting and outdoors traveling to and from customer accounts and sales offices. The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Travel Requirements: Minimum 50%
