Descripción del empleo

Manages organization safety programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment. Plans and delivers programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices. Inspects facilities to detect hazards and determines corrective measures. Ensures compliance through follow-up.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in establishing and monitoring safe working conditions for employees.
  2. Implement corporate health, safety, security, and environmental initiatives across all locations in your regions.
  3. Conduct loss prevention audits to identify regulatory exposures and develop action plans.
  4. Promote a safety culture by encouraging reporting of near misses and hazards to prevent serious incidents.
  5. Ensure compliance with hazard protocols and assist during serious injury investigations.
  6. Review injuries and illnesses to identify unsafe practices or environments.
  7. Maintain safety systems like Intelex and SharePoint for reporting and documentation.
  8. Develop and deliver safety training programs and serve as instructor when needed.
  9. Analyze safety metrics and support safety program development and injury reduction efforts.
  10. Prepare safety and health budgets for regions.
  11. Create documents and guidelines to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
  12. Recommend programs and actions for compliance and develop safety programs for various hazards.
  13. Guide supervisors and managers in hazard identification, evaluation, and correction.
  14. Assist with risk assessments and analyze incident trends.
  15. Support environmental audits, permits, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • B.S. in Safety, Environmental, or related field with relevant coursework.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Initiative and resourcefulness in limited mentorship settings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interested in or certified as CSP, CIH, ARM, or similar.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with translation skills.
