The Workforce Staffing (WFS) Candidate Attraction team is looking for a Regional Partnerships Manager. The primary responsibility of the Regional Partnerships Manager is to build relationships and manage communications with community partners across Mexico. Their primary focus is to foster and build relationships with workforce organizations in the community to source candidates for entry-level warehouse roles. In addition to their region, they will also manage national workforce relationships while building a network of regionally based partners in specific risk markets. This team facilitates community partner support for local job fairs and drop-in events. Their focus is to activate community partners to achieve a candidate funnel for their assigned risk markets. Regional Partnerships Managers own the development and execution of local workforce development and recruitment strategies in Amazon’s most constrained markets. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this position are tied to increasing the hourly entry-level talent pipeline, removing obstacles faced by local candidates, reducing the need for paid advertising and recruiting space, and meeting Candidate Generation hiring goals.


This role requires the ability to keep composure in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity, quickly get up to speed on complex issues, anticipate community partner questions/reactions, and formulate thorough messaging strategies that position Amazon as the local employer of choice. The key skills and abilities for this role include consulting, facilitation, influencing, communication, coaching, analysis, risk evaluation, empathy, problem solving, and high judgment with the ability to use data to make decisions.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Partners with Candidate Attraction leadership and internal stakeholders (marketing, Audience Channel owners, Field & Business Management team) to develop local recruitment strategy based on market data and local insight to generate applications.
  2. Responsible for delivering on KPIs to meet Candidate Attraction hiring goals including targeted audiences (e.g., Military, People with Disabilities, Referrals, Refugees, etc.).
  3. Uncovers obstacles faced by local candidates in applying to Amazon through workforce partners and candidates.
  4. Identifies and develops programs and initiatives aimed at eliminating local employment barriers.
  5. Creates and executes plans, based upon data to implement scalable hiring strategies for geographies.
  6. Owns the establishment and maintenance of long-term relationships with centers-of-influence and select workforce organizations. Builds and fosters workforce development relationships that demonstrate return on investment.
  7. Gains and maintains awareness of labor markets and their impact on Amazon’s near and long-term hourly staffing needs.
  8. Develops internal partnerships with the ability to influence internal stakeholders, CG Channel Managers, Marketing and Staffing Management Field teams; public policy teams (state and local); public relations teams; local operations and HR teams; to ensure alignment.

A day in the life

  1. Manages the analyses of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of Candidate Generation activity performance via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned geographies.
  2. Identifies and schedules drop-in events, hiring fairs, information sessions, etc. to drive hires.
  3. Researches and executes opportunities and coordinates activity related to large scale community events such as conferences and job fairs that will drive hires.
  4. Leads and drives projects of increasing scale and complexity, and manages programs through to completion.
  5. Owns training, development, team culture and driving activities related to Candidate Generation with Field teams.
  6. Must be able to travel as needed to conduct events in various locations within your designated assigned geographical area. Regional travel up to 50% of the time required.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  3. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business or equivalent.
  4. Knowledge of data analytics with tools such as Tableau, SQL, QuickSight.
  5. Experience in conducting investigative work, including claimant, witness, and target employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation.
  6. Experience developing policies and supporting documentation.
  7. Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards.
