We are seeking a Regional HSES Business Partner for the Americas.

The Regional HSES Business Partner is responsible for delivering effective HSES management services within the geographic area, fostering a safety culture that safeguards health, wellbeing, safety, and security of personnel both within and outside the organization.

This proactive and collaborative role acts as the primary liaison between the Regional Leadership Team and the Global Head of HSES, including Country Directors, local management, HSES Leads, Representatives, and Wellbeing Ambassadors.

Locations: Houston, New York, Puebla, Monterrey, and Mexico City, Mexico.

Languages: Expert level English; bilingual Spanish preferred in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead LRQA's vision for HSES, promoting Safety I and Safety II, and driving improvements in safety, health, and wellbeing through data-driven insights.
  2. Build strong relationships with the Regional EVP and leadership team, serving as their advisor on HSES compliance matters.
  3. Ensure understanding and compliance with local legal HSES requirements, policies, and standards among colleagues and managers.
  4. Provide regular HSES performance insights to leadership to inform decision-making.
  5. Monitor and analyze incident data to support policy and safety system improvements.
  6. Analyze predictive HSES indicators to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
  7. Stay updated on regulatory and client HSES initiatives, ensuring compliance and supporting audits.
  8. Support the continuous evolution of a world-class HSES culture focused on accountability and behaviors.
  9. Manage and support local HSES leaders and ambassadors, promoting professional development and proactive safety practices.
  10. Conduct investigations into incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  11. Provide HSES expertise for bids, tenders, and client activities.
  12. Remain informed of emergencies and crises, providing support and risk management as needed.
Job Requirements:
  1. Qualified HSES professional with a BSc or MSc, preferably technical.
  2. Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  3. Experience managing HSES issues and wellbeing programs.
  4. Proficiency in safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  5. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  6. Ability to translate HSES knowledge into actionable steps.
  7. Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  8. Proven success managing HSES across multiple countries and regulatory environments.
  9. Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English; additional languages preferred.
  10. Proficiency in MS Office tools.
