Regional Financial Analyst

SoftwareOne

Scope: Full-time | Office: Costa Rica & Mexico | Hybrid

How a day would look like in this role:

As a Regional Financial Analyst, you will support the business divisions from a financial perspective. You will be part of a high-performing team, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete reporting for both internal and external customers. This role involves participation in various finance projects, process and operational improvements, and new business initiatives. You will support the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations as well as month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consolidate financial results for the region, working closely with country controllers, the Financial Shared Service Center (FSSC), and Sales team.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and that financial results are within the budget.
• Conduct deep analysis to identify inaccuracies and request and ensure corrections in the company's financial statements.
• Participate in year-end audits and handle all audit-related matters.
• Prepare executive presentations for senior finance leaders.
• Handle day-to-day operational inquiries and requests from managers and external parties.
• Ensure and monitor annual company tax filings.
• Lead and contribute to finance transformation projects, such as system migrations, operational improvements, and new initiatives.
• Participate in month-end closings, prepare and review the statement of financial position, resolve and follow-up on open items within balance sheet schedules, adjust for exchange variances, and ensure smooth monthly closing of accounts.
• Propose and implement improvements to optimize reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement strict controls to ensure the SLA important metrics are achieved.
• Lead review meetings and provide proactive insights solving the genesis of the problem.
• Assist in day-to-day activities and handle ad-hoc matters as needed.

What we need to see from you

We would expect you to have as Required:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or similar career.
• More than 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Proficient in English, oral and written.
• Supervisory skills and experience.
• Experience in Navision / Dynamics 365 systems is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge in BI reports is preferred.
