Job summary

Molex is seeking a Specialist, Regional Category Management to support end-to-end procurement and supplier-management activities in Mexico. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to manage master data, sourcing, supplier onboarding and purchasing activities, while removing operational barriers and supporting material availability and plant readiness.

You will join a collaborative, cross-functional team, partnering with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Admin, Engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of SAP procurement modules (MM, Purchasing, Vendor Management).
• Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets.
• Experience preparing management reports and executive presentations.
• Strong written, verbal and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Purchasing Info Records (PIRs).
• Resolve incomplete plant data and coordinate part-number extensions.
• Identify potential suppliers and lead RFQ activities.
• Gather technical requirements and coordinate inquiries among Engineering, QPM, internal teams and suppliers.
• Manage vendor-code creation and monitor approval processes.
• Identify, escalate and resolve supplier-onboarding barriers.
• Analyze metal-price fluctuations to evaluate RFQs where applicable.
• Resolve issues involving supplier records, Incoterms, transit times and documentation.
• Support purchase-order creation and related system access.
• Track stakeholder requests, priorities, risks and progress.
• Develop repeatable solutions that reduce rework and improve operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Working knowledge of SAP procurement modules, including Materials Management (MM), Purchasing and Vendor Management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting and managing large datasets.
• Experience preparing management reports and executive-level presentations.
• Strong written, verbal and stakeholder-management skills.
