HSBC Global Service Center in Mexico City is seeking a Cash Equities Software Engineer with a strong command of Java and a track record in low-latency systems. The role focuses on enhancing HSBC’s electronic trading platform, ensuring scalability, performance and alignment with front-office needs.

Ideal candidates will work across time zones, embrace automated workflows, and leverage container runtimes (Docker/Kubernetes) and messaging systems (Kafka/Aeron) to drive data-driven optimizations and

Formación

Deep hands-on experience in software engineering for low-latency or real-time systems.
Excellent Java proficiency, including concurrency, tuning, and memory management.
Strong Linux/UNIX command line skills and debugging abilities.
Experience with Equities/Capital Markets/Low Latency is highly desirable.
Familiarity with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Exposure to AI-assisted maintenance and data-driven profiling is a plus.
