HSBC Bank (Mexico) is seeking a mid-senior Cash Equities Software Engineer to enhance its front-office electronic trading platform. The role emphasizes Java, low-latency systems, and a containerized environment. You will collaborate across time zones and drive automation to reduce toil.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OMS/low-latency tech, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and data-driven performance tuning, contributing to a scalable, global trading platform.

Formación

• Deep proven hands-on experience with low-latency or real-time systems.
• Excellent Java proficiency including concurrency, tuning, and memory management.
• Good command of Linux/UNIX command line interface.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with Equities/Capital Markets/Low Latency.
• Experience with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with message passing systems such as Kafka and Aeron.
• Data-driven optimizations (profiling, metrics collection).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and deploy enhancements to HSBC’s electronic trading platform.
• Support and optimize what you and your colleagues have built.
• Collaborate with software engineers in other time zones.
• Reduce toil and repetitive tasks by automation.
• Contribute to strategy implementations to improve efficiency.
