Formación

Position: Staff/Senior

The opportunity:
Work as staff/senior on multiple workstreams for middle and back-office functions for an asset management client.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interact with the pricing vendors to price securities
  • Communicate daily inquiries to appropriate internal departments
  • Monitor and data mine the daily pricing for anomalies and potential issues
  • Perform deep dives on issues related to securities pricing and methodology
  • Issue price challenges
  • Interact with Portfolio Managers as an internal consultant
  • Interact with internal and external audit teams
  • Audit internal processes, identify and mitigate risks, and develop and enhance controls
  • Develop reports and presentations for funds, the Boards, Legal, and Portfolio Management
  • Maintain current knowledge of domestic and foreign securities markets and monitor effects on funds, pricing, and valuation procedures
  • Manage various projects related to process improvements, procedures, and systems development

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a quantitative field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security valuation and mutual fund operations
  • Experience working with trading desk and portfolio managers
  • Market data knowledge from working with providers of financial data, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Intex, and others
  • Experience working with business intelligence reporting tools and dashboards, such as PowerBI (preferred) or other platforms
  • Advanced Excel/VBA, SQL, Python, strongly preferred
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics
  • CA, CPA or CFA designation
  • Experience with mutual fund governance and fund boards
  • Experience working with Business Analysis and Project Management
