IFF in Tecomán, Colima is seeking an Inventory Specialist to ensure material traceability and accuracy in a fast-paced food ingredients manufacturing setting. You will verify incoming raw materials, maintain ERP records, and support cycle counts and audits.

The role requires a degree in a related field, experience with inventory control and ERP systems, SAP familiarity, and strong analytical skills. Collaboration across Purchasing, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse teams is essential

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and material traceability.
  • Experience maintaining inventory records and processing inventory transactions within ERP systems.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, material handling, and storage best practices.
  • Experience supporting audits, inventory investigations, and compliance-related activities.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

  • Receive, verify, and record incoming raw materials while ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems and support data integrity.
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and document material transfers between warehouses, storage locations, and facilities.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage conditions, and traceability of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels, including minimum, maximum, safety stock, and reorder points.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability.

Where You’ll Make a Difference
  • Receive, verify, and record incoming raw materials while ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and support inventory data integrity
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities to ensure high inventory accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies while implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Manage and document material transfers between warehouses, storage locations, and facilities
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage conditions, and traceability of raw materials and inventory items
  • Monitor inventory levels, including minimum, maximum, safety stock, and reorder point requirements
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability and operational continuity
  • Generate inventory reports, support audits, monitor obsolete and slow-moving inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies and inventory procedures

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment
