In this role, a typical day will include:
Performance Management and Service Delivery:
The role involves ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting within prescribed deadlines and in compliance with IFRS. Key responsibilities include preparing accurate journal entries, robust monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborating with local stakeholders for timely issue resolution. The position requires proactive communication with finance colleagues and regional accounting teams to address queries effectively while adhering to Alcon standards and policies. It also involves meeting SLA/KPI targets and addressing internal and external inquiries.
Compliance
The Record to Report Senior Associate focuses on maintaining comprehensive documentation of all processes, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with IFRS, Financial Controls Manual, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include applying Alcon's control procedures, supporting SOX certification, and fostering a strong control environment. Additionally, the role involves addressing audit findings and implementing corrective measures to uphold compliance and operational integrity.
