Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Senior Buyer based in Reynosa, Mexico, to manage procurement for manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has 6 years in a manufacturing environment, automotive exposure preferred, and experience with NPI, Excel (macros, pivots), and Oracle.

Strong English skills (80% reading/speaking) and the ability to work under pressure are essential. The role involves evaluating demand via MRP, issuing RFQs, monitoring supplier performance, negotiating terms, processing

Qualifications

• 6 years of manufacturing purchasing experience, preferably in automotive or similar
• Experience with NPI processes
• English reading and spoken at about 80%
• Strong Excel skills: macros, pivots
• Time availability and ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of POs, RMAs and Sox audits

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand using MRP or manual reqs and issue RFQs for price and availability
• Monitor supplier delivery and negotiate price, volume and delivery dates
• Process RMAs and expediting/rescheduling to meet production requirements
• Resolve AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation
• Research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts
• Assist in engineering changes, policy interpretation, and PPV approvals as needed

Expedites and reschedules as necessary to meet production requirements. Responsible for resolving AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation. May research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts. Senior Buyers may manage implementation of engineering changes, interpretation of procurement policies, process improvement projects, contract negotiation and approval of PPV's.
