Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Independently coordinates purchasing activities and processes requisitions.
• Uses MRP or manual reqs to analyze demand and determine needs.
• Sends RFQs for price and availability.
• Monitors supplier delivery performance.
• Negotiates price, volume, and delivery dates.
• Processes RMAs and expedites/reschedules to meet production.
• Resolves AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation.
• Researches alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts.
• Senior Buyers may manage engineering changes, PPV and procurement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities and process purchase requisitions.
• Analyze demand using MRP or manual data to determine needs.
• Issue RFQs and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and expedite as needed.
• Negotiate price, volume, and delivery terms.
