Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Mexico is seeking a Buyer 2 to coordinate purchasing activities and manage requisitions within an electronics manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes timely RFQ issuance, supplier delivery monitoring, and proactive supplier negotiations.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in electronics procurement, familiarity with Agility programs, and strong spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills. English proficiency is required for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Need to have experience in electronics procurement with Agility programs (VMI, VCI, MIN/MAX)
• Minimum 3 years in a fully responsible purchasing role

• Experience managing spreadsheets
• Advanced numerical analysis education
• Industrial Engineering or related field
• Fluent in English (spoken and written 90%)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities and process purchase requisitions promptly.
• Use MRP or manual requisitions to analyze demand and issue RFQs for price and availability.
• Monitor supplier delivery and performance; negotiate price, volume, and delivery dates.
• Process RMAs and expedite/reschedule to meet production plans.
• Resolve AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation.
• Research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts.

Job Requirements

• Buyer 2 Previous experience in the electronics industry preferably with Agility programs (VMI, VCI, MIN / MAX, etc.)
• At least 3 years of experience in a full level position
• Thrust and results-oriented
• Proactive and willing to learn fast
• Availability of time 100%
• Management of spreadsheets
• Advanced Numerical Analysis Eduaction
• Industrial Engineering or Similar English
• Oral and written at least 90%

Responsibilities

• Working independently, coordinates purchasing activities and processes purchase reqs in a timely manner.
• Using MRP and/or manual reqs, analyzes demand to determine need, sends out RFQ's for price and availability.
• Monitors supplier delivery.
• Negotiates price/volume/delivery dates.
• Processes RMA's.
• Expedites and reschedules as necessary to meet production requirements.
