Competencies (experiences/ Education):

Job Description

Objective:

This role is responsible for leading and executing development strategies and technical agendas for innovation, renovation, improvements, and cost optimization projects within the Mexico Portfolio. The role ensures adherence to good practices, regulatory standards, and food safety and quality standards, while ensuring technical feasibility.

This position also leads the product development team at the Guadalajara Plant.

2 Key Activities/Deliverables:

1. Manage the agenda for short- and long-term developments including Innovation, ESG, Value Engineering (VE), and Supply Security.
2. Lead the local technical agenda, ensuring the implementation of existing programs in IZ and through partnerships with suppliers.
3. Manage resources such as personnel, assets, and training to ensure project delivery.
4. Lead the technical development of new suppliers, ingredients, and packaging to ensure business continuity (Supply Security).
5. Ensure that new products and reformulations comply with local legislation, Kraft Heinz guidelines, and consumer acceptance.
6. Manage and oversee the R&D Budget (Zero-Based Budgeting - ZBB).
7. Number of Reports: 3-4

Qualifications (experiences/Education):

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Food Technologies, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related technical fields.
• At least 8 years of R&D leadership experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of Spanish.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools is required.

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage teams.
• Proven ability to plan and manage work within a technical domain.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including with non-technical audiences.
• Ability to interpret data effectively.
