Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The R&D Product Developer Engineer is responsible for supporting innovation, productivity, brand maintenance, and portfolio transformation projects, working closely with cross-functional teams in Mexico and LATAM to develop and implement key initiatives in line with strategic plans, ensuring business growth. This is achieved through the execution of projects involving prototypes, laboratory testing, pilot plant trials, as well as the delivery of required documentation and flawless project execution.

Your Impact

As R&D Product Developer Engineer your responsibilities would consist of:

  • Lead and support innovation, productivity, brand maintenance, and portfolio transformation projects within the Foods category.

  • Ensure flawless execution of projects across Mexico and LATAM regions, from lab to market implementation.

  • Translate business needs and consumer insights into product concepts and solutions.

  • Apply food science knowledge to design, formulate, and improve products.

  • Develop prototypes and conduct lab, pilot plant, and scale-up trials.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, supply chain, operations, and quality.

  • Prepare cost and material usage analyses to support profitable product development.

  • Support analytical, microbiological, consumer, and shelf-life testing to validate product performance.

  • Ensure compliance with nutrition, quality, and regulatory requirements in each market.

  • Deliver technical documentation and support projects through the full development cycle, from concept to launch.


Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related fields.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in R&D within the food industry, laboratory, or pilot plant environments.

  • Languages: Advanced English and Spanish, required for collaboration with global and regional teams.

  • Comfortable working in laboratories, pilot plants, and industrial facilities.
  • Fast learner with exposure to research, development, or innovation projects, combining creativity, technical knowledge, and business understanding.

  • Proactive, results-driven, and capable of balancing multiple projects while maintaining focus and momentum.

  • Reliable, responsible, resilient, and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-changing and complex environment.

  • Willingness to travel to support plant trials, start-ups, and on-site implementations.
