Job summary

The Gund Company in Mexico is seeking an R&D Chemical/Materials Engineer to contribute to our electrical insulation materials programs. You will design, test, and optimize new materials and processes, lead external testing projects, and provide internal lab support to engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams.

This role requires a hands-on engineer with lab experience and CAD/CAM familiarity, capable of collaborating across global teams and communicating findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering, materials science, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience with laboratory material testing.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Lead external testing and certification projects.
• Provide internal lab testing support to Engineering and Marketing Teams; Sales Teams/Customers; Global Sourcing; Manufacturing Facilities.
• Assist Development Engineers to facilitate project completion.
• Maintain and update test logs and prepare test reports.
• Develop knowledge of product and material standards relevant to market development plans.
