Job summary

The Gund Company in Querétaro, Mexico is seeking a Process Engineer I to learn and apply engineering fundamentals in a manufacturing setting, supporting continuous improvement and process optimization under the guidance of senior engineers and plant leaders.

You will contribute to safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction, participate in Kaizen events, develop work instructions, and help implement capital projects to drive manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing engineering experience is preferred.
• OSHA/NOM Safety competency in an industrial environment is preferred.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply engineering fundamentals to support process improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, cost and waste reduction.
• Support work order improvement activities and Engineering Master updates.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, support problem solving, and recommend improvements.
• Support Kaizen events, Lean projects, and root cause investigations using structured methods.
• Provide hands-on execution support for equipment, materials, and process changes on the production floor.
• Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and operator training materials.
