Syngenta Seeds seeks an R&D Analytics - AI Developer to design and implement data pipelines and AI-enabled software for Vegetable R&D. You will work with scientists and analytics teams to translate experimental data into scalable tools, with a focus on reliability and governance.

The role requires solid software engineering, Python, AI frameworks, and cloud deployments (AWS), plus experience with Snowflake/Databricks and API technologies.

Qualifikationen

• Master or PhD in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Quantitative Genetics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering, with at least 3 years building/maintaining production systems in Python.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Agentic AI and large language models.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end software solutions.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering skills.
• Experience with big data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience deploying ML models in production using cloud-native apps (AWS).
• Experience with API technologies (RESTful APIs or GraphQL).
• Experience developing software products for scientific/R&D/agricultural data domains.
• Ability to use AI coding assistants and enterprise AI platforms responsibly.

Aufgaben

• Design and build data pipelines to support ML models and analytics.
• Build analytical software and AI solutions integrating R&D data, models, and workflows.
• Containerization and orchestration in a cloud environment.
• Manage software deployment/configuration in non-prod and prod.
• Collaborate with R&D scientists, data scientists, and analytics teams to translate needs into scalable software solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, code quality, and testing.
• Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and identify where they improve analytics and decision support.
• Ensure solutions are scientifically valid, explainable where needed, and compliant with governance.
