Job summary

ABB in San Luis Potosí, Mexico is seeking a Quality professional to assist the quality team in implementing and maintaining the quality system, conducting audits, and training on tools and methodologies. You will support daily quality activities, report KPIs, and maintain process documentation.

The role reports to the Quality Control Manager and involves on-site work, leveraging your quality engineering background to ensure conformant products and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical certificate in engineering required.
• 1 year of experience in quality areas.
• Knowledge of quality tools (5 Whys, 8D, Control charts).
• Knowledge of Minitab and MS Office.
• Intermediate English level preferred.
• Effective communication and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Implementing Gauges for material release.
• Reporting quality issues data and ensuring QMS adherence.
• Monitoring quality KPIs.
• Participating in improvement plans.

This position reports to: Quality Control Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including conducting audits, establishing controls, training on tools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. You will also showcase your expertise by reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintaining process documentation.

The work model for the role is: #L-On-site

This role is contributing to the ELDS team and stakeholders in SLP

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Implementing Gauges for material release.
• Reporting quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.
• Monitoring of quality KPI´s.
• Participate in improvement plans.
• Collaborate in quality audits.

Qualifications for the role

• Technical Career Certificate or Bachelors degree in Engineering required.
• 1 year of experience in Quality areas.
• Knowledge of Quality tools (5whys, 8Ds, Control Charts).
• Knowledge of Minitab and Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate English level preferred.
