Job summary

Daimler Truck in Mexico seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead the quality team, drive continuous improvement, and deliver sustainable quality performance that supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will provide leadership for quality activities, ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and regulatory needs, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and prevent issues.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing ISO 9001 quality systems and tools.
• Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the assigned quality team, aligning with safety, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement goals.
• Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and implement actions to improve product, process, supplier, and customer quality.
• Coordinate containment, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective actions for sustainable solutions.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, Logistics, and Customer Support to prevent issues and improve processes.
• Ensure audits, reviews, inspections, and process evaluations meet standards and customer requirements.

Objective: Ensure the effective execution of quality strategies by leading teams, driving continuous improvement, and delivering sustainable quality performance that supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Purpose: Provide leadership and direction for quality-related activities to ensure compliance with customer expectations, company standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Supervisor partners with cross-functional teams to improve performance, prevent defects, resolve quality issues, and strengthen customer confidence throughout the product lifecycle.

Main Functions

• Lead and develop the assigned quality team, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and environmental objectives while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and drive quality performance by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, and implementing actions to improve product, process, supplier, and customer quality results.
• Coordinate problem-solving and corrective action activities, including containment, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustainable solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Suppliers, Logistics, Customer Support, and other relevant areas, to prevent quality issues, improve processes, and achieve business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and regulatory standards through audits, reviews, inspections, and continuous process evaluations.
