Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage the execution of quality initiatives and CAPA across all manufacturing value streams to achieve strategic quality improvement objectives (e.g., Customer Incident Rate, PPM, Cost of Poor Quality, Supplier PPM, QMS Management Review KPI's).
  • Lead root cause investigations and resolutions for customer, warranty, and supplier quality incidents, ensuring compliance with industry best practices (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams, A3, PDCA) and Gates Quality Management System requirements.
  • Coordinate with new product development teams to utilize APQP management systems, aiming for sales growth and product vitality while minimizing defect risks.
  • Maintain an effective PPAP submission process for timely and accurate part qualification.
  • Oversee the internal quality management system audits and Layered Process Audit (LPA) program.
  • Support supplier quality development through assessments, nonconformance corrections, and supplier development projects.
  • Identify process control gaps and implement improvement actions to meet quality cost objectives.
  • Authorize changes within the Change Management Process, ensuring effective implementation and validation.
  • Evaluate the performance and development needs of the quality team, planning and executing growth initiatives.

Requirements And Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics).
  • Minimum 5+ years in quality roles and 2+ years in management.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry core tools (AIAG - APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA) and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagrams, DOE, 8D).
  • Experience with quality assurance software (e.g., Minitab, SPC applications) is a plus.
