Carrier Global Corporation seeks a seasoned Quality Engineer to lead quality plans, investigations, and corrective actions across two Monterrey sites. You will drive risk management, testing methods, and PPAP/CP activities to ensure product quality and process reliability.

The role requires strong English, ISO/IATF knowledge, and extensive experience in HVAC or automotive quality systems.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

  • Define and execute Quality Engineering plans to reduce nonconformities.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for customer quality issues.
  • Develop and implement testing, inspection methods to ensure product/process reliability.
  • Drive risk management using APQP/PPAP core tools (PFMEA, MSA, CPs).
  • Lead escape management and root cause analysis; drive CAPA actions.
  • Oversee change management, work transfers, and PPAP approvals.
  • Manage quality performance across two Monterrey sites.

About the role

Owns the execution of key elements of Quality Engineering operational plans. May lead a team of primarily experienced Quality Compliance professionals or a team responsible for Quality Engineering for an organization of small size or scope. Sets tactical and operational plans for the achievement of short to medium-term goals for the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. Provides guidance on the implementation of corrective actions for design problems for internally produced products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute Quality Engineering operational plans to reduce nonconformities and maintain quality standards.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for customer quality issues.
  • Develop and implement testing, inspection methods, and quality technologies to ensure product and process reliability.
  • Drive risk management activities using APQP/PPAP core tools, including:
    • PFMEA
    • MSA
    • Process Flow Diagrams
    • Control Plans
  • Lead escape management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Oversee process change management, work transfers, and PPAP approvals.
  • Manage quality performance across two Monterrey sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Strong experience in Supplier Quality and Process Quality.
  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives in manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with experience addressing customer quality concerns and driving corrective actions.
  • Experience in HVAC and/or Automotive industries.
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality standards.
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding and hands‑on experience with:
    • APQP
    • PPAP
    • PFMEA
    • MSA
    • Control Plans
    • Process Flow Diagrams
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, CAPA).
  • Knowledge of process transfer, change management, and production validation activities.
  • Experience with escape management and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing and/or electronic products preferred.
  • Experience managing quality performance across multiple sites is highly desirable.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Valid U.S. Visa and ability to travel as required.
  • Availability to support operations across two manufacturing sites in Monterrey, Mexico.
