Confidential Careers in Mexico seeks an experienced Automotive Quality Engineer to support Ford and Stellantis, lead PPAP/APQP activities, and manage audits in line with IATF 16949 standards.

You will navigate Ford and Stellantis customer portals (eDDL, ePPAP, QLS) for documentation, releases, and incident management, while guiding cross‑functional teams on quality improvements and RA/RC closure.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in automotive quality.
• Proven experience with Ford and/or Stellantis.
• Strong knowledge of Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949, and CQI.
• Advanced English (mandatory).
• Experience with metal‑mechanic and assembly processes.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage quality projects.

Responsabilidades

• OEM Quality Management—Direct support for Ford and Stellantis, KPI tracking, documentation, quality alerts, deviation management, and product releases.
• PPAP & APQP Leadership—Prepare, review, and approve PPAP packs per Ford/Stellantis, revalidations, Run@Rate, project closure.
• Audits & Quality Systems—Perform internal audits under IATF 16949 and CQI standards for Ford/Stellantis.
• Failure Analysis & 8D—Root cause analysis, containment, CAPA, customer communication, and issue closure via OEM portals.
• Production Process Management—Oversee stamping, assembly, dimensional verification, SPC, scrap control, PFMEA and control plans.
• Customer Portal Interaction—Use Ford eDDL, ePPAP, QLS, and Stellantis portals for documentation and releases.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949, internal audits, and problem‑solving methodologies, with hands‑on experience using Ford and Stellantis customer portals, documentation processes, and specific requirements such as CQI, CSR, and customer‑specific quality deliverables.

Main Responsibilities

• OEM Quality Management — Direct support for Ford and Stellantis, including KPI tracking, customer documentation, quality alerts, deviation management, and product releases.
• PPAP & APQP Leadership — Preparation, review, and approval of PPAP packages according to Ford and Stellantis requirements, revalidations, Run@Rate, and project closure.
• Audits & Quality Systems — Execution of internal audits under IATF 16949, CQI (Welding, Coating, Heat Treat, Plating), and customer‑specific standards for Ford and Stellantis.
• Failure Analysis & 8D — Root cause analysis, containment, corrective and preventive actions, customer communication, and closure of quality issues through Ford and Stellantis portals.
• Production Process Management — Stamping, assembly, dimensional verification, SPC, scrap control, PFMEA updates, control plan management, and continuous improvement aligned with OEM expectations.
• Customer Portal Interaction — Use of Ford eDDL, ePPAP, QLS, and Stellantis Supply Quality portals for documentation, releases, incident management, and follow‑up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in automotive quality.
• Proven experience working with Ford and/or Stellantis.
• Strong knowledge of Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949, and CQI.
• Advanced English (mandatory).
• Experience with metal‑mechanic and assembly processes.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage quality projects.
