EDAG Mexico is seeking a Quality Engineer-CPT to join our automotive quality team. You will evaluate supplier parts, ensure acceptance through inspections, and manage non-conforming material records.

You’ll gather data, drive containment, and initiate corrective actions using standard quality tools while aligning with KPIs across plants. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, has 1 year in automotive QA, and fluent English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering and/or related.
• 1 year of experience inside the Automotive Industry with knowledge in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, manufacturing (exterior, interior, electronics and/or powertrain) and/or similar positions.
• Experience with product/process audits according to international standards (VDA, IATF16949 and/or ISO 9001).
• Good knowledge of Non-conforming processes and material management.
• Good knowledge of quality processes, quality tools and GD&T (is a plus).
• Certified Quality auditor under ISO 19011 (desirable).
• Handling of KPIs and reporting.
• Gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint).
• SAP (desirable).
• Fluent English (Conversational level).
• Available to rotate shifts.
• 6 months

Responsabilidades

• Perform the evaluation of supplier’s parts within the different commodities.

• Create entries for non-conforming material inside the system and validate quality incidents from other plants that could affect
• Gather data through of statistical measurements for failures, defects, quality issues, etc.
• Implement robust containment actions when flaw or defect parts are identified
• Create orders for sorting and/or reworks with approved work instructions
• Execute actions for problem solving through of different tools and deploy effective corrective actions
• Perform all activities aligned with the tickets scope and KPI’s targets
• Participate actively in regular meetings
