EDAG Mexico is seeking a Quality Engineer to evaluate supplier parts, ensure acceptance of quality and manage non-conforming materials. The role requires audits against VDA, IATF16949 or ISO 9001 and strong knowledge of quality tools including GD&T.

Candidate should have 6 months in related automotive quality roles, familiarity with KPIs and data reporting, and willing to rotate shifts.

Formación

• Experience with automotive quality systems and manufacturing processes.
• Audits of product/process quality against international standards (VDA, IATF16949, ISO 9001).
• Knowledge of non-conforming materials and containment actions.
• Familiarity with quality tools and GD&T.
• Desirable ISO 19011 auditor certification.
• Ability to gather KPIs, data and reports.
• Lean/manufacturing continuous improvement knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• SAP familiarity desirable.
• Willingness to rotate shifts.
• 6 months experience in related role.

Responsabilidades

• Perform the evaluation of supplier’s parts within the different commodities.

• Create entries for non-conforming material inside the system and validate quality incidents from other plants that could affect
• Gather data through statistical measurements for failures, defects, quality issues, etc.
• Implement robust containment actions when flaw or defect parts are identified
• Create orders for sorting and/or reworks with approved work instructions
• Execute actions for problem solving through different tools and deploy effective corrective actions
• Perform all activities aligned with the tickets scope and KPI’s targets
• Participate actively in regular meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering and/or related
• 1 year of experience inside the Automotive Industry with knowledge in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, manufacturing (exterior, interior, electronics and/or powertrain) and/or similar positions
• Experience with product/process audits according to international standards (VDA, IATF16949 and/or ISO 9001)
• Good knowledge of Non-conforming processes and material management
• Good knowledge of quality processes, quality tools and GD&T (is a plus)
• Certified Quality auditor under ISO 19011 (desirable)
• Handling of KPIs and reporting
• Gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint)
• SAP (desirable)
• Fluent English (Conversational level)
