Objective:
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Deco imprinted, engraved, or assembled products meet quality, reliability, and performance standards. They will develop and maintain effective controls to uphold the integrity of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the application of quality assurance methods to analyze test and inspection results.
- Coordinate teams across different areas to focus on continuous quality improvement within the Goldstar division.
- Respond quickly to quality alerts, customer complaints, and implement countermeasures for the Goldstar division.
- Generate, analyze, and present inspection and testing reports.
- Ensure the implementation of appropriate testing programs; evaluate, review, monitor, and document results.
- Notify and require corrective actions for non-conformances, investigate causes, and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures.
- Coordinate the inspection procedures to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Manage the Quality Systems and certification processes (ISO 9001), including documentation, process, and record updates.
- Set specific quality inspection controls tailored to the Goldstar division's needs.
- Present monthly quality metrics reports to management and stakeholders.
- Develop strategic quality control processes aligned with high-level QA strategies within National Pen.
- Manage special projects supporting production activities.
- Define processes for order re-do quality assurance controls.
- Track KPIs and complete administrative reports.
- Support Care Programs.

They should have excellent quality process management, project management skills, and a thorough understanding of technology and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 3+ years of progressive Quality Control experience in manufacturing, preferably in maquiladora environments, or equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience.
- Experience managing inspectors, first article, in-process, final, receiving inspection, gage control, calibration, SPC, and data collection.
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus.
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
- Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
