Quality Engineer C

Objective:

Quality control engineer is responsible for ensuring that Deco imprinted, engrave or assembly products meet standards of quality, reliability, and performance, assure effective controls are developed & maintained to ensure the integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the application of quality assurance methods to analyze the test and inspections results.
2. Coordinate teams in different areas looking for continuous quality improvement focus on Goldstar division.
3. Quick response to quality alerts, customer complaints and countermeasures for Goldstar division.
4. Generates, analyzes and presents Inspection and Testing reports.
5. Ensure the appropriate and required testing program is implemented; evaluate, review, monitor and document results.
6. Notifies and Requires Corrective Actions to the corresponding functions on Non-conformances and the causes that originated them and verifies the effectiveness of Corrective Actions.
7. Coordinate the fulfillment of the inspection procedures to insure the quality requirements.
8. Coordinate the management of Quality Systems and applicable certification system (ISO 9001) including the development, maintenance and the documentation, process and records updating.
9. Is responsible for setting special quality inspection controls focus on satisfying Goldstar division specific needs.
10. Present monthly Goldstar Quality Metrics reports of the different functional areas to upper management & stakeholders of the business.
11. Develop strategic Quality Control processes for the Goldstar Division in alignment to the overall QA high level strategies within National Pen.
12. Manage special projects for production support activities.
13. Defines processes for order Re-Do quality assurance controls.
14. Initiate and complete reports tracking KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and other administrative tasks.
15. Support’s Care Programs’s.

Profile:

The ideal candidate must drive high commitment to results, analytical tools that improve the global customer support experience at fast pace. Design and planning skills are necessary to scope and plant development work in order to meet business objectives. Strong quality process management and project management skills, as well as thorough understanding of technology, with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Knowledge/Experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field, along with 3+ years of progressively responsible Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within maquiladora manufacturing companies or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 3+ Years Quality Assurance/Quality Control Experience.
3. 3+ Experience managing inspectors, first article, in-process, final, receiving inspection, gage control, calibration, SPC and data collections.
4. Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite is an asset.
5. Good working knowledge of ISO:9001 standards.
6. Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
