A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Quality Operations professional in Tijuana. The role involves deploying quality tools, leading process improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective quality management. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering and significant experience in quality operations, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Operations.
• Experience with quality management systems and Total Quality Management concepts.
• Ability to plan and execute work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Black Belt Projects and key process improvement teams.
• Engage in resolving customer complaints and listening to post concerns.
• Identify waste and rework; develop plans to improve and resolve issues.

Deploy Quality Tools

• DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
• Data mining and root cause analysis
• Reliability / repeatability (Gage R & R)
• Lead Black Belt Projects and key process improvement teams
• Develop Green Belts and teach and coach tool use to all associates
• Develop & implement process auditing / measurement systems for internal / external processes
• Build prevention into the development of new products / processes using Quality Engineering concepts
• Use a teaming approach to accomplish tasks and support process teams
• Check customer satisfaction internally and externally through quality tools and Customer/Supplier metrics
• Enable and support the Total Training Plan, work instructions, procedure creation and control, and Teaming Systems within the facility

Process Improvement

• Lead and participate in Kaizens
• Deploy lean tools
• Identify waste and rework; develop plans to improve and resolve issues
• Support process teams on quality and process improvements using a teaming approach
• Support and track steps 6 and 7 of team process improvements
• Ensure engineering changes and capital improvements meet timelines and desired outcomes

VOC Support

• Engage in resolving customer complaints and listening to post concerns
• Use process and quality knowledge to resolve issues and create sustainable solutions
• Follow up with internal and external customers to confirm resolution effectiveness
• Establish key quality characteristics to ensure value stream effectiveness

Necessary Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or similar engineering field
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Operations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proven leadership ability and effective team participation within a facility management team
• Knowledge of statistical tools for problem solving, process measurement, control, and improvement (e.g., SPC, Design of Experiments, Process Capability, Gage R&R)
• Working knowledge of Minitab or similar statistical software and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
• ISO 9000 or similar quality standards experience (preferred)
• Experience with quality management systems and Total Quality Management concepts
• Experience in consumer products quality and process improvement
• Ability to plan and execute work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools
