Quality Engineer

Job summary

GPV in Mexico is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the quality staff, implement and improve the quality system with SPC and statistics, and drive corrective actions for internal and external issues, including 8D reports.

The role supports maintaining ISO systems, internal audits, and ongoing QEHS improvement. You will lead special projects and ensure high standards across electronics manufacturing, collaborating with multiple teams to raise quality performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Electronics manufacturing with a quality focus.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, positive attitude, and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the quality staff in the section.
• Implement, maintain and improve the quality system by SPC and statistics.
• Participate in analysis and take corrective/preventive actions for internal and external issues, including 8D reports.
• Maintain ISO system and participate in internal audits.
• Lead special projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Support QEHS world-class standards and promote high performance programs.
• Develop and maintain quality systems to support processes of the quality management system.
• Audit processes for effectiveness and report on performance and improvement needs.
• Continuously improve quality activities to achieve world-class QEHS standards.
• Comply with company management systems and regulations.
• Issue or review quality records and summarize prototype or new model test runs.
• Involve in new model test runs and feasibility evaluations.
• Lead quality improvement plans and implement SPC in critical processes.
• Follow up on quality issues and lead assignable special projects.
• Stop activities that contradict documentation or goals.

Job description

• Manage and supervise the quality staff in the section.
• Implement, maintain and improve quality system in the section by Statistical Process Control and statistic Techniques.
• Participate to analysis and take corrective/preventive action to quality issue both internal and external issue in the section (Including produce 8D report).
• Maintain ISO system and participate internal audit.
• Special project assignment case by case.
• To support company to achieve world class QEHS standards and performance by setting and promoting high standards, leading by example and supporting appropriate programs.
• To manage the development of quality systems to ensure that processes needed for quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.
• To support specialist quality system and statistic technique support to considered area of the company.
• To support and audit process for evaluating effectiveness of the documented quality system and report the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
• To achieve assignable special project following to plan and effective project on time.
• To continue improvement any quality activity to achieve world class QEHS standards.
• Always strictly complied with Company’s management systems and regulations.
• To issue or review used quality records in the section.
• To review and summary prototype or new model test run report.
• To involve new model test run activity and feasibility evaluation.
• To make quality improvement plan and implement SPC in critical process.
• To follow up any quality issue action and be leader of assignable special project.
• To stop activities that is against the documentation or the agreed goals and system.
• Male/Female, Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related field.
• Experience at least 3 years in Electronics manufacturing field related to quality function.
• Strong leadership and team player, good attitude, logic thinking.
