Job DescriptionAs the Quality Engineer for Emerson, you are primarily responsible for carrying out the tests required in the different inspection processes (raw materials, inspection of the product in process, inspection of the final product), and ensuring compliance with the documents to satisfy our customers with their requirements and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out the dimensional and cosmetic evaluation of the raw material and required tests in a controlled manner.
- Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
- Inspect and report on test evaluation routines.
- Maintain documentation of routine test evaluations such as specific tests and try-outs in accordance with established procedures.
- Segregate and identify non-compliance material.
- Monitor the final disposal of non-compliance products.
- Receive chemical and mechanical certificates or others provided by raw materials suppliers.
- Control and distribute certificates to requesting areas according to procedure.
- Keep contact with customers to provide product certificates.
- Inspect machining and coating suppliers.
- Inspect products in process and conduct final inspections.
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team.
- Perform documentation compliance analysis for CSP (Non-Routine) and releases against specifications.
- Inspect products requiring Positive Material Identification with PMI equipment.
- Generate returns to internal scrap and supplier scrap.
- Generate rework orders for non-conforming products that require adjustment to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Remove products that don’t meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve quality.
- Re-inspect the product or reworked material to ensure compliance with the required specifications.
- Request “Accepted As Is” approvals from the US Product Engineer in cases where non-conforming material may be functional.
- Perform audits of the process according to an audit program.
- Perform audits on the product stored at Fisher and before being shipped.
- Develop procedures and recommend changes.
- Align with applicable ES&H procedures, as well as ISO procedures and standards established in the RIT.
- Maintain a safe and balanced work environment by following standards and procedures, and aligning with legal regulations.
- Support the traffic area in sending back non-compliance material to suppliers.
- Ensure the accuracy of invoice information and credit notes from clients and suppliers.
- Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports of inspections and tests performed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to evaluate and improve product quality.
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.).

For This Role, You Will Need:- Industrial Engineer or similar.
- English skills 75%.
- Maths, access, and ISO 9001 knowledge.
- Desire experience of 1 year in part inspection.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Detailed knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Internal candidates: 1 year seniority in the current position.
- Last performance evaluation rate of meet or exceed expectations.
