A leading spirits company in Mexico seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives and compliance for Tequila production. This role requires strategic leadership, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and at least seven years of experience in quality or production.   • Leads improvement projects for cost savings and process optimization.
  • Drive quality culture, continuous improvement, and manage root-cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Own KPIs in safety, morale, quality, production, delivery, and cost within area of responsibility.

Meaningful Work From Day One

Provides strategic and technical leadership for product quality and compliance at Casa Herradura Operations. Oversees laboratory accreditation and ensures effective implementation of quality and food safety systems. Leads a team of quality professionals focused on analysis, housekeeping and sanitation, and regulatory compliance. Drives quality culture, continuous improvement, and manages root‑cause investigation and corrective actions for quality issues.

The scope includes Tequila & RTD’s chains (Field, Distillery & Bottling, Contract manufacturing) & Mexico’s Distribution & Logistics. As a member of the Casa Herradura Leadership Team, establishes direction and contributes with the organizational objectives achievement and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion. Leader in diversity, excellent organizational leadership and notable communication skills, responsibility and commitment, time management, professional ethics, morals, confidence, teamwork, search for improvements in productivity in the company, decision making under conditions of certainty, uncertainty and risk.

What You Bring to the Table

Supports Casa Herradura’s quality objectives by applying structured systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and proactively communicating quality performance to leadership.

Supervises critical team activities, including field operation quality and agave development validation.

Ensures release of raw materials through physicochemical and sensory analysis, and oversees all in‑house laboratories, including the accredited lab.

Manages product release for in‑process and finished Tequila and RTD products.

Handles customer complaints for Tequilas and RTDs, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.

Provides technical quality support for imported products from Brown‑Forman Mexico and coordinates with production on product holds and investigations.

Maintains food safety certification and acts as the single point of contact for corporate Quality Assurance.

Leads or participates in improvement projects, including cost savings, loss elimination, and process optimization; contributes to agave supply, pricing, and technical committees.

Owns key performance results in safety, morale/D&I, quality, production, delivery, and cost within their area of responsibility.

Drives strategic initiatives, including contract manufacturing strategy, CAPEX planning, new technology evaluation, supplier/material change control, talent development, and representation in external committees and D&I networks.
