• Must have a bachelor’s degree (manufacturing, engineering or related).
• 1+ year of experience as a quality engineer or in a similar position.
• Excellent computer skills (statistical software, office).
• Conversational English.
• Knowledge in lean manufacturing tools.
• 8D Methodology, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem Solving.

Responsabilidades

• Lead investigations and root cause analysis of product failures across cross-functional groups.
• Perform failure analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for internal and external complaints.
• Define, design, and implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.
• Establish and maintain the quality management system.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations for transfer of new products and PPAP.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures. Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer’s requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE’s business needs.
• Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.
• Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.
• Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.
• Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
• Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.
• Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.
• Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.
• Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.
• Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.

Qualifications we prefer:

• Over 3 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experienced in medical, electronics, automotive, or aerospace industry.
• Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Proficient in the use of measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Experience in personnel supervision and team management.
• Six Sigma Certified. - Knowledge of quality systems and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Over 1 year of experience handling non conforming materials.
