Emerson seeks a Quality Auditor in Reynosa, Tamaulipas to ensure products, materials, and processes meet quality standards and engineering specifications. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Quality teams to support continuous improvement, reduce waste, and drive operational excellence with a culture of quality, innovation, and customer focus.

Formación

  • Completed secondary education (high school equivalent) or equivalent.
  • Experience or knowledge related to the product, manufacturing process, or functional area.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment; maquiladora experience is advantageous.
  • Basic English reading comprehension preferred.
  • Ability to use measurement instruments and read engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and inspection activities.
  • Ability to analyze information, make decisions, and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Understanding of engineering changes and verification of their implementation in manufacturing processes.
  • Basic knowledge of quality tools and their application in process improvement initiatives.

Responsabilidades

  • Audit finished products to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Provide guidance to Production teams to improve process performance and reduce scrap.
  • Validate and track production scrap for proper classification and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform product testing and inspections according to specifications and procedures.
  • Certify equipment, tools, and systems used in production for effective process control and quality assurance.
  • Inspect incoming materials for compliance with engineering requirements and quality standards.
  • Record and report supplier quality metrics and non-conforming material reports (NMRs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

If you are a Quality Auditor professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. In this role, you will help ensure that products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards and engineering specifications. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, reduce waste, promote compliance, and drive operational excellence while contributing to a culture of quality, innovation, and customer focus.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Audit finished products to verify compliance with engineering specifications, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Monitor and verify that manufacturing processes consistently meet established quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to Production teams to improve process performance and reduce scrap and non-conforming material.
  • Validate and track production scrap to ensure proper classification, reporting, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform product testing and inspections according to engineering specifications, quality plans, and established procedures.
  • Certify and validate equipment, tools, and systems utilized in production to ensure effective process control and quality assurance.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with engineering requirements and quality standards.
  • Record, monitor, and report supplier performance metrics related to quality and material compliance.
  • Generate and manage Non-Conforming Material Reports (NMRs) for incoming components and materials that do not meet specifications.
  • Control and monitor the entry, storage, and disposition of non-conforming materials in RAW and Finished Goods Hold areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support a culture of safety, integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Completed secondary education (high school equivalent) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical work experience.

  • Experience or knowledge related to the assigned product, manufacturing process, or functional area.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment; experience in a maquiladora environment is considered an advantage.

  • Basic English reading comprehension skills are preferred.

  • Ability to use measurement instruments and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Knowledge of or experience with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and component or material inspection activities.

  • Ability to analyze information, make sound decisions, and resolve quality-related issues effectively.

  • Understanding of engineering changes and the ability to verify their proper implementation within manufacturing processes.

  • Basic knowledge of quality tools and their application in process improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, including Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Previous experience with similar products, manufacturing processes, or functional areas.

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, or equivalent standards.

  • Experience using, interpreting, and monitoring Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.

  • Experience with failure analysis methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques.

  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, waste reduction, and process optimization.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

  • Working knowledge of the seven basic quality tools and their practical application in a manufacturing environment.
