Formación

Descripción del empleo

Quality and Operations Lead is responsible for collaborating with Stellantis Brands, Logistics, Fleet, Product Development, Marketing, Purchasing, and Quality groups within NAFTA to ensure all Vehicle Custom Shop Assembly operational attributes are in place and launches are effectively coordinated within the defined timelines, meeting volume and revenue expectations. He/She oversees day-to-day production at MCSs to meet quality requirements for Stellantis-owned vehicles processed through these facilities. The role serves as the primary contact between Mopar, assembly plants, and up-fit suppliers on all operations and quality matters.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Working with up-fit suppliers and quality engineers to ensure adherence to Stellantis-approved manufacturing processes, including auditing second and weekend shifts.
  2. Collaborating with suppliers and the supply base to prevent or resolve short-term part supply disruptions.
  3. Leading identification and resolution of incoming part and process issues using the Global Issue Management (GIM) process where applicable.
  4. Managing the execution of new program production starts at MCS with 100% Containment and Containment Release processes.
  5. Communicating vehicle incoming quality issues with the assembly plant quality organization.
  6. Managing ship hold and yard hold at MCSs as necessary.
  7. Leading the launch of all new KM, KX, and EJ programs in Toluca, including X1, X2, X3, and J1 build phases at the new larger Mopar Custom Shop facility.
  8. Leading post-launch daily quality initiatives for KM, KX, and EJ programs in collaboration with Toluca Assembly Plant quality team.
  9. Launching the 25MY DT in Saltillo, overseeing X1, X2, X3, and J1 build phases at the Mopar Custom Shop.
  10. Leading post-launch quality initiatives for DT programs with the Saltillo Assembly Plant quality team.

Operational responsibilities (50%) include:

  1. Supporting Planners, Brands, and Vehicle Engineering with location, capability, and program selection for the Custom Shop.
  2. Leading facility start-up and readiness, including tooling, equipment, operator training, and process sheets.
  3. Interacting with Assembly Process Manufacturing.
  4. Supporting engineering through installations and validation of work instructions.
  5. Implementing operational improvements to enhance labor savings and productivity.
  6. Planning vehicle volume with Volume Planning, Assembly Plants, and Vehicle Flow to Custom Shops.
  7. Monitoring build plans and coordinating with Commercial Teams, Assembly Plants, and Suppliers.
  8. Addressing component supply issues to prevent material delays.
  9. Eliminating bottlenecks hindering launches.
  10. Supporting assembly with information to reduce incorrect builds.
  11. Mitigating E&O at the Custom Shops on assembly short builds.
  12. Optimizing costs.
  13. Overseeing, leading, and training staff in Toluca and Saltillo to support respective programs.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, fluency in English (reporting to the US), and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.

Technical knowledge required includes PFMEA, Control Plan, PSO, PPAP processes, and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM), vehicle assembly, logistics, quality systems, supplier readiness reviews, and operational efficiency enablers is preferred.
