Main activity of the position.
The Manufacturing/Quality Engineer will support and lead the transfer of products and processes from the United States to Nuevo Laredo. He/she will oversee and improve manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality, design new products and processes, and ensure profitability and regulatory compliance. This position will also support the transfer of new products to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, requiring travel to U.S. manufacturing facilities. The Quality Engineer is responsible for creating documentation related to production issues and errors, with efforts to find solutions. This role will lead and support certifications such as ISO 9001, FM, CSA, and ATEX.
Education: Professional studies in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar.
Experience:
- At least 1 year as a Manufacturing Engineer or in the manufacturing industry.
- Welding experience in ASME Section IX.
- ISO 9001:2015 compliance experience.
- Experience with internal audits, inspection techniques, root cause analysis, and Pareto analysis.
Background:

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute product transfer from U.S. to Mexico.
- Evaluate processes, designs, and layouts for waste, safety, and improvements.
- Identify tooling and equipment needs.
- Collaborate with quality, purchasing, and production teams to address design or process flaws.
- Develop metrics to monitor process control and performance.
- Analyze data for improvement opportunities and engineering changes.
- Document work processes and recommend improvements.
- Support continual improvement, problem investigations, safety, and documentation.
- Report project status to management.
- Develop manufacturing processes based on product requirements and testing methods.
- Enhance manufacturing efficiency through workflow, space, and layout planning.
- Ensure product and process quality through testing methods.
- Calculate production, labor, and material costs for decision-making.
- Prepare reports on product and process trends.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with regulations.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair to keep equipment operational.
- Maintain databases and support design and development projects.
- Lead internal audits and support external audits (ISO, FM, CSA).
- Manage document control, calibration, and QMS compliance.
- Oversee inspections, including First Article Inspections.
- Coordinate MRB, non-conformance, and corrective actions.
