The Eaton IS VEH EMB division is seeking a QMS Coordinator to drive the Quality Management System across the site and supply chain. You will write and update procedures, lead audits, and train teams to uphold ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Responsibilities include managing internal and external audits, maintaining quality manuals and procedures, and promoting Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Process Improvement Engineers.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of experience as ISO9001 and IATF16949 Quality Systems Engineer.
• Strong IATF 16949 knowledge and CSRs familiarity with automotive or aerospace quality requirements.

• Maintain Quality Manuals and Procedures; ensure contents meet business needs.
• Analyse current and future procedural needs of the business.
• Communicate with employees to drive customer-satisfaction improvements and actions (8D, A3).
• Organise plant customer and internal audits system; support corrective actions.
• Conduct QMS audits and provide training to auditors as needed.
• Host external ISO9001 & IATF 16949 quality system audits.
• Undertake internal project audits during tender, design and manufacture stages.
• Promote Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Measurement System Analysis practices.
• Liaise with Process Improvement Engineers to implement quality requirements and training.
• Deploy EQMS - Risk and Opportunities to the Tijuana site; coordinate ownership.
• Maintain internal audit activities and follow up on nonconformities.
• Coordinate review of quality procedures related to continuous improvement initiatives.

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a QMS Coordinator.

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What You’ll Do

Primary function

Contributes to developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the Company and its supply chain to operate within. May undertake auditing to ensure compliance although this may be carried out by a third party accredited body. Responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing and updating procedures and processes to support the QMS development. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.

Essential Functions

• Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations.
• Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
• Analyse current and future procedural needs of the business.
• Communicate and interact with employees in regards of customer satisfaction to build improvement commitment actions (8Ds or A3s) towards automotive quality culture.
• Organise and manage the plant customer and internal audits system and supported by the corrective action reporting system.
• Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditor, as needed.
• Host external ISO9001 & IATF 16949 Quality System audits.
• Undertake internal project and management audits during the tender, design and manufacture stages.
• Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis, hold a certificate as internal auditor in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 at least.
• Liaise with Process Improvement Engineers and Learning and Development specialists to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practice and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deploy the EQMS - Risk and Opportunities to the Tijuana site through a robust plan supported by the processes owners.
• Maintain the Internal Audit activities on schedule and work closely with the CAPA System Engineer to follow up all non conformities.
• Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives.

• Engineering (Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronic, Electro mechaninc or related).

Years And Area Of Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience as ISO9001and IATF16949 Quality Systems Engineer.
• Strong IATF 16949 & CSRs knowledge along with mechanical, statistical and drawings/requirements background in working with automotive or aerospace products and knowledge of the Quality Management System as well.
